Questions:

Name the host city or the year. The boxing at this city's Olympics were probably the last great year for the U.S, though this was helped by a Cuban boycott. Among other things, a referee from New Zealand had to flee the country after coaches and officials from the host nation's rushed the ring and began punching and kicking the referee after a decision against one of their boxers. The losing boxer, embarrassed, then refused to leave the ring for over an hour in protest. Identify these games who later saw Roy Jones, Jr. lose the gold medal despite out hitting and out defending himself against a boxer from the host nation. Years later, it was determined that judges were bribed, but the IOC still refuses to overturn the mockery of a decision.

The match was stopped, and this team then went on to defeat Yugoslavia for the gold before many team members defected. After FIFA began its "World Cup" in 1930, football took an Olympiad off before returning in 1936. In the quarterfinals, Peru took this nation to overtime, and managed to score 5 goals (three of which were overturned by referees). However after a 4-2 loss, this nation's Olympic Committee complained about poor field conditions, an angry crowd rushing the field after the game, and other things. Olympic officials decided to allow for a rematch, which not only caused the Peruvians to leave Berlin, but saw the German embassy in Lima attacked while dockworkers in Peru refused to load German ships. Identify this nation which borders Germany, which would become much, much closer on 12 March 1938.

In December 2012, this nation's Olympic Committee was suspended by the IOC for corruption (the pot calling the kettle black) when it was learned that this nation's government had instituted legal proceedings to gain control of their own Olympic Committee and force it to use national rules vs. IOC rules for conducting business. While the suspension did cause this nation's government to back down and call for new free elections for its Olympic Committee membership, it happened too late to help their Olympic athletes heading to Sochi, who were forced to march under the Olympic flag as independent athletes. Identify this large nation, not known for a lot of winter sports.
