One of the more overt forms of political expression ever made by any athletes during the Olympics came during the medal ceremonies for the 200 meters at the 1968 Mexico City games. Name either of the two American runners who donned black gloves and black socks (without shoes) and raised their fists as a sign of solidarity for all those who were being denied civil rights (often mistaken as a "Black Power" salute,something routinely denied by these two men).
