Each of the descriptions is a series of films sharing common words in their titles. Taking plot elements and/or cast and crew from each of the films, assemble the chain title. Each description begins with description of the first film mentioned and they generally operate in order (though the concluding summary of crew may relate to any or all of the films therein). All connecting words are separate words, though they may be connected to their title with a hyphen (Life with Father of the Bride of Chucky could be an answer; Step-Father of the Bride of Chucky could be answer (if the movie Step-Father existed), but The Godfather of the Bride of Chucky could NOT be an answer). Good luck!

Sylvester Stallone plays a New Jersey sheriff who is time warped back to the age of dinosaurs with Will Ferrell, an aging movie star tired of his relationship with Giovanni Ribisi and searching for new love in Japan. Sofia Coppola directs.
David Carradine received a Best Actor nomination for playing Woody Guthrie, whose life of folk singing and riding the rails results in his appointment as the basketball coach of Texas Western University, whose history-making starting lineup team of five African-Americans squares off in the ultimate finale -- a death match against a hit man hired to kill Tom Hanks. Frank Darabont directs.
Arnold Schwarzenegger plays a father searching for the perfect Christmas toy that he wants to give to his college lover, Robert Redford, in hopes of recapturing the smiles they left behind when he deployed alongside Mel Gibson to Vietnam to the Battle of La Drang. Sydney Pollack directs.
Dr. Frank-n-furter, played by Tim Curry, is an alien transvestite entertaining passengers with his rendition of Ol' Man River. However, to his surprise, he's been booked on a same-sex romance cruise alongside Horatio Sanz and Tim Curry. Mort Nathan directs this adaptation of a play by Jim Sharman and Richard O'Brien adapted from a Rodgers and Hammerstein musical based on an Edna Ferber novel.
Half-human Peter Quill is kidnapped as a young child and cast in a cult favorite sci-fi series. A group of overzealous fans kidnap Quill and Jason Nesmith (played by Tim Allen) based on the misunderstanding that the series is real. With no other course, the adventurers join forces to battle with Ruber (voiced by Gary Oldman), who seeks to overthrow King Arthur, Cary Elwes, Eric Idle, Celine Dion, Pierce Brosnan, and Bronson Pinchot all provide voices in this star-studded and animated non-classic directed by Frederik de Chau.
Ben Affleck directs his brother Casey as a boston private investigator, searching for a missing daughter. The wife of teacher Nick Dunne (played by Ben Affleck) also goes missing, though in the twist ending, she is alive and living in a mental institution alongside Winona Ryder and Academy Award-winner Angelina Jolie. Screenplay is adapted from a novelization by Gillian Flynn of Susanna Kaysen's memoir.
In this uber-bleak, yet lighthearted sci-fi flick, Tommy Lee Jones plays a Texas sheriff encountering a string of murders attributable to an alien, eventually recruiting Agent K (Will Smith) to his squad in the hope of solving the case. The murderous alien, played by Natalie Portman in an Academy-award winning performance, turns out to be driven by an all-consuming competitive desire to play the lead role in a cosmic ballet. Darren Aronofsky directs.
Dennis Quaid stars as "the Grey Ghost" in this uber-hyphenated tale of a football hero who struggles to move past his former glory and is haunted by the lessons of his past as a Neo-Nazi for his younger brother (Edward Furlong), only to find himself radically changed by experiencing genetic mutations that result in him joining a squad of superheroes led by a crippled bald man. Bryan Singer directs.
Sean Connery returns in this Vegas-set story about a secret agent who volunteers for cryonic freezing to avoid witnessing the death of his beloved. After he is inadvertently thawed by two boys, including Elijah Wood, he discovers that he is actually the creation of a mad scientist played by Gene Wilder. Mel Brooks directs.
Tony Stark develops a metallic suit while being held hostage in Afghanistan. He uses the suit to escape his captors and flies away, only to crash land in Smallville, Kansas, where he is adopted and given the name Clark Kent (now played by Henry Cavill). Clark lies in wait for General Zod by taking on a job in a Louisiana beauty salon. While he can seemingly save the world, he has one weakness -- he cannot save his sister Shelby (played by Julia Roberts) from her death following childbirth. Oh, and kryptonite. So I guess two weaknesses. Jon Favreau directs. (edited at 12:51 am, March 9, 2018 (CST))
Don Lockwood (played by Gene Kelly) is a renowned silent film star. But with the introduction of sound film, he faces a career challenge -- with sound, everyone will discover that his co-starring brother (played by Dustin Hoffman) is autistic and has trouble dealing with day to day life. His brother makes the best of the situation by becoming a bizarre and puzzling stand-up comedian who indulges in bizarre flights of fancy like reading the Great Gatsby to college students and going onstage as abusive nightclub performer Tony Clifton. Milos Forman directs this beloved musical with original score by R.E.M.
Alice (played by Milla Jovovich) is trying to escape Raccoon City, which has become infested with monsters and zombies and faces a missile attack led by the charismatic and reclusive Colonel Kurtz (Marlon Brando). She travels up river to confront him and kill him, only to discover the astonishing truth that Kurtz is part of an elite team of illusionists (including Danny Atlas (Jesse Eisenberg) and Merritt McKinney (Woody Harrelson) that uses their abilities to rob banks. Louis Leterrier directs.
