Time was pretty unpopular for a while back in the 18th century. In fact it was so loathed that in 1752 Britain decided to skip a bunch of it. How many days were skipped?

Though no one knows for sure, experts generally agree that time first came into being around 360 BC, coinciding with the publication of what philosopher's work Timaeus?

As stated, while we think that time started around 360 BC no one's really sure what caused that to happen. Suggestions abound, but the most plausible by far is simply that it arrived on the asteroid that killed the last of the dinosaurs and, feeling nauseous from the journey, laid dormant for a while. If this hypothesis is true, in what modern day country did time first arrive?

Thanks to some 'blue laws' from the late 19th century (Thanks, Obama!) scientists worldwide have to periodically add a leap second to the calendar. In Coordinated Universal Time what second, exactly, is the leap second?

In its prime, time was capable of some pretty awesome feats. I remember this one time when it split itself into a bunch of different zones! Who knew that was possible? I didn't. Anyway apparently some of these are really far apart. Relative to London (GMT+0), which one's the biggest?

Did you know 'time' isn't really its full name? Obviously these days time ranks up there with Prince or Oprah in terms of first-name recognition, but can you identify its birth name?

Over the years countless songs have been written about time, but not all of them refer to the time we all know and love ('time' was actually a pretty popular name in the 1940s and 50s). For example, Pink Floyd's "Time" was actually written about a long time friend of the band, Time Johnson.

As another example, in 1964 the Rolling Stones recorded what song immortalizing the moment when Keith Richards' friend Time Williams stood up for him during an argument?

In its youth, time was a big fan of the outdoors, camping in particular. It's rumored that on one camping trip in upstate NY it spilled a large bucket of water that ran generally southward and created what river generally considered among the five oldest in the world geologically speaking.

EDITORS NOTE: This story is typically considered apocryphal since it would place time's birthday two or three hundred million years before the date in question #1.

We all knew this was coming. In 1995 time came to a long-overdue close during an Andrea Bocelli performance. Everyone thought time might make a comeback about two years later with a recording featuring Sarah Brightman, but alas it was not to be. What was the title of this song? (English is fine)
