In ca. 1973 (or so, when I was a pup), I first heard "This Magic Moment" by Jay & the Americans, and was impressed with it so much that I asked for their album Sands of Time as a Christmas present (which I indeed receive). The 1968 album consisted of twelve covers of tunes from the 1950's and '60's and this quiz regards the original artistes who recorded the songs or at least charted it as Billboard Top-40 record. The year denotes when the artist had that their version chart, or at least recorded the original.
