This quiz is a bit tongue and cheek and more for fun than anything ... but I feel I have to do it now, because time may very well be running out on this. It has been 108 years since 1908 ... and since I now must put my faith in the Cleveland Baseball Club to end this madness ... this may be our last opportunity to have some fun at the expense of America's longest running misfits ... no, not the Washington Generals ... I'm talking about the Cub. Here are 12 questions about people, places, and things that have come about since 1908. Certain questions were inspired by sincethecubswon.com.

The year after the Cub won the 1908 World Series, this guy won the Nobel Prize in Physics. This means a Cub win will be the first time the Cub have won the World Series since his invention went into mass use in the United States (hint: not television).
These were not invented in Chicago, but were invented in 1930 in suburban Schiller Park. Unfortunately, this means that there are no examples that pre-date a Cub World Series victory to see if they are still edible after 108 years.
On December 14, 1911, this man became the first to reach the South Pole. Since then, a few thousand people have traveled to the South Pole, which is infinitely many more than ""people who have won the World Series while wearing a Cub uniform".
Four years after the North Siders struck gold, these were first installed in the United States in Salt Lake City. The first with three colors didn't happen until 1920 Detroit. (edited at 1:34 pm, October 24, 2016 (PDT))
It would not be until 1911, a full three years after the Cub had last won the Championship that this annual sporting event started. Ray Haroun won that first event, and Alexander Rossi won it in 2016.
The election of 1908 took place a few weeks after the Cub victory romp. Including the man who was president on the day the Cub won, how many presidents has the United States had since the Cub last won the Big One?
On 12 March 1912, the first meeting of this organization took place. In the magical year of 1917, this organization began to be associated with a particular product, which they remain associated with to this day (by contrast, Clark the Cub, a pantsless mascot, has only been rubbing up against Cub fans since 2014).
I'll accept +/- 2, either way. Being generous ... assuming one could actually remember being 4 years old, which is possible, how many living Americans (as of 22 October 2016) would remember the Cub winning the World Series (meaning they were 4 years old or older on 14 October 1908, according to the Gerontology Research Group). (edited at 1:36 pm, October 24, 2016 (PDT))
Number needed At least some members of the Ricketts family support Donald Trump's candidacy for president, and while we hope this was all tongue in cheek, some supporters of Trump have called for a repealing of this number amendment, passed in 1920, because some polls have noted that without this amendment, Trump would win in a landslide. The last state to ratify this amendment was Mississippi (shock!), doing so in 1984, another magic year for the Cub! What is this amendment, ratified 12 years after the Cub beat the Tigers for the second time? (edited at 9:28 pm, October 23, 2016 (PDT))
Get this within 1 year. To North Siders and their minions, a Cub World Series win would be the greatest thing since sliced bread, because sliced bread was not sold until after 1908. Within one year, either way, in what year did the Chillicothe Baking Company of Chillicothe, Missouri introduce the first commercially available sliced bread
This Chicago landmark opened in 1924, and sits across Michigan Avenue from the Tribune Tower. This building is such a symbol of Chicago, that it is mentioned in the lyrics of "My Kind of Town". The south tower of this building is taller than the north tower, and has its signature giant clocks. What is this building with the white glazed terra cotta exterior.
Get this within 1. While the Cubs have waited since 1908 to win one World Series, their rivals, the St. Louis Cardinals, have been more impatient. Since 1908, within one either way, how many World Series championships have the St. Louis Cardinals won?
