Let's swing wildly in the other direction: country music. Lately, that genre doesn't generally ever get close to the Top 10 and for it to get to the top spot is almost unheard of. Last year's "Old Town Road" is country but heavily influenced by rap. Some would say Taylor Swift's "We Are Never Ever Ever Getting Back Together" could be considered country but that's shady at best. What cannot be disputed is that in 2000, a bonafied country group hit #1 with what could be the last pure country song to hit that mark. That group was Lonestar. NAME THE SONG.
