Quiz Description

The first question in this quiz is taken from a game I saw being played on a Friday night at the Harvard University Hillel in 2007 when visiting friends for the weekend. Essentially, the MC read out two classifications and the contestants had to declare whether there were more of class A, more of class B, or the same number of each. The first one in that game was about the psalms and the sonnets, which is why that comparison is also the first one here. I've started lists of these a few times over the years and realized this could be a fun platform to run the game on.

For each question, the correct answer is the CAPITALIZED TERM referring to the larger classification. If the two classifications are the same size, write EQUAL. You do NOT need to give the numbers associated with each classification, though you are welcome to guess if you like. (As long as you correctly enter the CAPITALIZED TERM referring to the larger classification, any number that you add to your answer makes no difference as to whether I mark it correct or incorrect. Feel free to add numbers as guesses if you like.)

Example 1:
Which is larger?
The number of PROTONS in a helium atom or the number of SIDES in a triangle?
Answer: SIDES (3 - 2)
(Whether you said "SIDES" or "SIDES (3 - 2)" or "SIDES (3)" or "SIDES (19)", this would be correct.)


Example 2:
Which is larger?
The number of points scored by HARVARD University's football team on November 23, 1968 or the number of points scored by YALE University's football team on November 23, 1968?
Answer: EQUAL (29)
(Whether you said "EQUAL (29 - 29)" or "EQUAL" or "EQUAL (29)" or "EQUAL (100)" this would be correct. If you said "HARVARD" or "YALE" or even "HARVARD (29 - 29)" this would be marked incorrect.)
