I'll finish the upbeat pop section of the 70s with two of my favorite songs. The first, 1971's "Brand New Key", is a fun little ditty by WHAT FOLK SINGER who got her breakthrough at Woodstock? It felt like this mononymous woman liked her roller skates more than anything else.
