Alongside Ramius' side in the film is Captain Vasilly Borodin, brilliantly played by Sam Neill. In a quiet moment of the film, Borodin tells Ramius of his plans to live in the US. Among his plans: marry a large American woman who will raise and cook rabbits, own an RV and live in two states. Which two states does he wish to live in? His last words after being shot is a lament for never being able to see one of them.
