This best movie of 2017 did get one nomination, for Adapted Screenplay, which is honestly all I really expected. Of course, I (and many others) had expected more prior to some upsetting news about its star. He offered a dodgy half-specific-denial, half-blanket-apology in response to accusations about his misconduct, but it frankly rang as hollow as Johnny's assertion that he did not hit Lisa — it's not true; it's bullshit; he did not hit her; he did NOT — oh, hi Mark.
