Not wanting his Trek co-star to get all of the glory and money in the 1970s "man vs. deadly animals" genre, Canadian legend William Shatner tried his luck with this 1977 disaster that at least involved frightening animals. In this film, the Shat plays a vet who discovers animals dying of large amounts off venom, and an arachnologist who tells him it is likely because of the evils of pesticides killing off the title menace's natural prey. Identify this film that ends with the town of Verde Valley, Arizona encased in an enormous web (we just have to assume that Shat lives, because living in a world without him would be a real horror!)
