[Jerry Thomas] Known as "the father of American mixology", Jerry Thomas wrote the first drink book to be published in the United States titled "Bar-Tender's Guide". In one edition, THIS COCKTAIL was written down for the first time, a gin and sparkling lemonade drink served in a type of glass that partially shares its name.
