The Downriver community of Riverview is the hometown of three notable college football coaches. One is former Michigan head coach Lloyd Carr, a second is former Mizzou and Vandy head coach Woody Widenhofer. A third was this man, whose Colorado Buffaloes shared the 1990 National Championship, but is likely better known today as the founder of the Promise Keepers men's ministry.
