Quiz Description

This is the first half of the fourth and final quiz in a series inspired by the recent Learned League question in which players were asked to name a state from a list of some of its counties. It was noticed that some of the given names were not unique to one state, while others were. Actually, somewhat under half of the 3141 counties or equivalents in the 50 states have names that are unique among the list of county names. You will be asked about some of them. Just identify the state that has a county with the provided name. Quiz 4 is a challenge with 50 counties, one from each state. The names will generally be rather mundane, so this will be a genuine challenge.. Because of the inherent question limit on this site, this quiz will involve the first 25 states in alphabetical order -- Alabama through Missouri. Its sister quiz covers the other 25 states. Note that or the purposes of these quizzes, parishes in Louisiana and boroughs in Alaska are considered equivalent to counties.
