The genial quizmaster of Trebekistan has been in the news lately so let us all send our love, respect and best wishes through this quiz... a quiz with a twist! When the quiz is graded and tabulated, I will add up all the scores, pledge a penny a point and donate half the money to the the same charity TheJeopardyFan.com will donate their money (pending confirmation from Trebek himself) from the T-Shirt sales (when determined) and the other half to the National PanCan Action Network (www.pancan.org) so naturally, the more people who take part, the more money raised.

Trebek was born in the town of Sudbury in THIS CANADIAN PROVINCE. Don't know it? Boo hiss.
From 1966-73, Trebek hosted THIS CANADIAN PROGRAM. It was pretty much a carbon copy of the College Bowl / HighQ type programs local US stations air. Stephen Harper, the former PM of Canada, was once a contestant for Richview Collegiate Institute.
For his first American game show, in 1973-74,Trebek hosted THIS GAME SHOW. Its theme song was written by Alan Thicke, who was also a producer.
From 1976-77, Trebek hosted THIS GAME SHOW on CBS. Mirroring "21" with its isolation booths, contestants had to give answers to one sentence clues with very little physicality or challenge, if at all. In the final round, the champ went against the "Spoilers," a group of PhDs in hopes of winning the grand prize.
Form 1974-80, Trebek hosted THIS NBC GAMESHOW, until it was replaced by the ill-fated "David Letterman Show." The gameplay, based on the English pub game "Shut the Box," was pretty much a mixture of dice and solitaire.
Trebek became a naturalized US citizen in THIS YEAR (2 years either way).
In 1987, Trebek began hosting THIS GAME SHOW in its "classic" form with Marjorie Goodson-Cutt, the daughter of producer Mark Goodson, taking the role as prize model months into the run.
For a week in 1995, Alex went back to his TV roots and replaced THIS ANCHOR on Good Morning America. No doubt his co-host Joan Lunden had questions and answers about this.
From 1988-2013, Trebek was the host of THIS ACADEMIC COMPETITION in Washington DC. Soledad O'Brien and Mo Rocca have hosted it in the years since.
Trebek came in 2nd in the 2005 Celebrity Poker Tournament to THIS ACTRESS, best known for her roles in the film "RV" with Robin Williams and on TV as a long suffering wife on "Curb Your Enthusiasm."
Among his many commercial deals is being the "compensated endorser" with "important information" about THIS INSURANCE COMPANY.
On June 13, 2014, Trebek was awarded the Guinness World Record for most episodes of a game show hosted by the same presenter. At the time of his receiving the award, he had THIS MANY EPISODES of Jeopardy! under his belt (within 50 either way).
In the final episode of THIS SHOW, Trebek, referred to as "the guy with the answers," is seen joined with its host in Santa's sleigh as they are all whisked away into the night...and presumably to 1695 Broadway.
Like some Hollywood types, Trebek uses his middle name on stage. What's his given FIRST NAME?
In a photo that went viral among J! fans, Alex was seen remodeling the bathroom in his home during a break. He commented that his wife will be happy when it's over. What's the NAME of Alex Trebek's WIFE (his second)?
As referenced in the description, "Trebekistan" is based on the book "Prisoner of Trebekistan: A Decade in Jeopardy!," written by THIS FORMER J! CONTESTANT. It's a pretty good read.
