2016 just plain sucked as a year. I frankly can't think of anything good that happened this year (maybe the loss of one of these guys wasn't so bad ... but it can't make up for the rest). I'm going to end the year by quietly celebrating the work of those who passed this year. I'm going to give a quote ... it might be a quote from a song they were noted for singing, a quote from a role they had in a movie, a quote from something they have written, or maybe a quote from an interview they gave. You tell me who said it or wrote it (remember, in the case of film/TV quotes, give me the actor who really died, not the character).

The following people are to be released from their captors: In Northern Ireland, the seven members of the New Provo Front. In Canada, the five imprisoned leaders of Liberte de Quebec. In Sri Lanka, the nine members of the Asian Dawn movement...
You never really understand a person until you consider things from his point of view.
They sentenced me to twenty years of boredom / For trying to change the system from within / I'm coming now, I'm coming to reward them / First we take Manhattan, then we take Berlin
