Network synergy (or lack thereof) works in strange ways. Sometimes, it involves that prime slot of airspace after the Super Bowl. Sometimes, it's handling angry executives and viewers upset that their show is delayed. It may also bring up memories of setting your VCR to program your favorite Sunday night show, only to add an extra 30 minutes to the recording time in case your market has the doubleheader game (though I heard that isn't such a big deal if you live on the West Coast).

A special interview by Steve Kroft of "60 Minutes" followed Super Bowl 26, where Bill and Hillary Clinton were interviewed regarding allegations of an long-term affair between Mr. Clinton and this woman.
In one of the most notorious events of network pre-emptions, NBC viewers west of the Rockies were unable to see the end of an AFL contest between these two teams so that the regularly scheduled movie "Heidi" would start on time. Name both teams.
The longevity of this Sunday night CBS program that was normally broadcast between 60 Minutes and a movie coincided with the long-running duo of Pat Summerall and John Madden and a running gag where Summerall would slowly enunciate the name of said mystery show.
When the Summerall and Madden broadcast duo moved to FOX in 1994, Summerall could have used the gag mentioned in the previous question twice in the 1995 playoffs for this short-lived sketch comedy show featuring Luis Guzman and John Leguizamo.
Sticking with FOX, those who stuck around to see the end of Denver's convincing win over Atlanta in January 1999 could see the debut episode of this animated series, followed by a special "Simpsons".
With CBS holding the broadcast rights to Super Bowl 50, FOX now plans to air the first episode of the revival of this program after the NFC Championship game on January 24, 2016. The original series was a Super Bowl lead-out program after the Packers defeated the Patriots in New Orleans.
From 1977 to Sept 1983, NBC had the opportunity to promote this analyst's television dramas on the network, as he had a supporting role on "Little House on the Prairie" before a two-season run as the lead on "Father Murphy". Name this NFL Hall of Famer.
In January 1980, an AFC Championship rematch between the Oilers and the homestanding Steelers coincided with the NBC premiere of "Skag", a critically acclaimed but short lived series that featured the return of this "Streets of San Francisco" star to network television as a Pittsburgh-area mill foreman.
Game 6 of the 1986 World Series caused a scheduled airing of "Saturday Night Live" to be taped and aired two weeks later. Name EITHER the host, who starred in the films "8 Million Ways to Die" and "Nobody's Fool" in 1986, OR the musical guest, who performed "Emotion in Motion" off of his album "This Side of Paradise".
Sticking with SNL, a February 10, 2001 episode featuring Jennifer Lopez as the host and musical guest was on a 45-minute tape delay due to a double overtime game between the Chicago Enforcers and Los Angeles Xtreme from this short-lived sports league.
Although college basketball fans look forward to the first two days of March Madness, coverage of games on CBS does result in the preemption of their two remaining daily afternoon soap operas. Name either soap.
And not to forget the American Broadcasting Company, name this executive who led ABC Sports from 1968 to 1986, bringing "Monday Night Football" into being as well as running ABC News from 1977 onward into the 1990's, where "20/20" and "Nightline" were developed on his watch. Just before his death in the fall of 2002, he was award the first Lifetime Achievement Emmy Award.
