Recently someone at LearnedLeague ran a 1 Day Quiz in which the answers formed a continuous palindrome, and I thought it was very clever and well done. It also struck me as something that must be incredibly difficult to write, so naturally I decided to give it a go. It turned out to be a bit less difficult than I thought, at least when not constrained by a set number of questions. I was going to use it as a worksheet round next time I host pub trivia, but I thought it perhaps too difficult, given the time constraints (and also the sort of thing the best teams would probably solve entirely and the poorer teams might crash and burn on, which isn't fun). So I'm posting a slightly altered version of it here. The premise is pretty simple, all 15 answers, laid out in order, form a long palindrome. All spaces, punctuation, diacritics, etc. should be ignored, and any articles you might wish to include should be left out. I tried hard to avoid any ambiguity, but nevertheless any answers that may be technically correct but do not fit the palindrome may be marked wrong at my discretion. To get a better idea of how it works check out BrodaP's excellent quiz at LearnedLeague here: http://learnedleague.com/oneday.php?fullypalindromic, or his less challenging teaser here: http://www.factorytrivia.com/. Mine isn't as good, but should be easier, at least.
