The introductory video to this state's Sports Hall of Fame was narrated by Summerall, who played for this state's flagship university.

As a member of the New York Giants, Summerall was not only a teammate of Frank Gifford, but also a participant in "The Greatest Game Ever Played', when they lost the 1958 NFL Championship to this team.

In 1961, Summerall kicked the first regular-season field goal at this venue, which would host NFL games until December of 1996.

Prior to his pairing with John Madden, Summerall was most often paired with this broadcaster on 1970s NFL telecasts, as the two formed a notorious off-field friendship. Said broadcaster would later lead an intervention that saw Summerall enter the Betty Ford Center.

In the fall of 1981, Summerall was paired with John Madden after CBS tried pairing Madden with Summerall and this other legendary broadcaster, who then moved to NBC's baseball coverage for the rest of the 80's.

After Summerall completed treatment at the Betty Ford Center, he would convince this Oklahoma-born MLB Hall of Famer to check in 1994, one year before his death.

The 1968 Masters, Summerall's first Masters telecast, saw this golfer, the 1967 British Open winner, lose an opportunity to compete in a playoff for the green jacket when he signed a scorecard that incorrectly showed him one stroke behind winner Bob Goalby.

Summerall's last U.S. Open tennis tournament for CBS was in 1993. Name EITHER the men's singles champion that year, who won his 2nd US Open out of 5, or the women's champion, who won her 3rd title out of 5.

The last Summerall/Madden NFL broadcast on FOX was Superbowl 36 in February 2002, a game decided on this kicker's last-second field goal

In 1974, Summerall was the play-by-play announcer for CBS' coverage of the NBA Finals. Name EITHER the active player who joined Summerall and Hot Rod Hundley in the broadcast booth or the longtime sports announcer who replaced Summerall on CBS NBA Finals telecasts from 1975-1980.

Summerall's final broadcast was the January 2010 Cotton Bowl between Ole Miss and Oklahoma State. Name EITHER head coach from that game, one of which is still at his school and known for the "I'm a Man, I'm 40" rant defending one of his players, while the other was fired after posting two straight losing seasons immediately following the bowl victory.

Summerall was a long-time pitchman for this hardware chain, which often went for the same markets as ACE Hardware, who used John Madden as their pitchman.
