It's the beginning of severe weather season here in the South Central US, so I thought it was only fair to twist things up a bit with a tornado quiz!

The strength of tornadoes is measured by the EF-Scale based upon how much damage a storm causes. The scale runs from 0 (minor or no damage) to 5 (total destruction of buildings). The F in EF-Scale stands for the last name of this Japanese-American meteorologist who was fondly known as "Dr. Tornado"
According to the NOAA, between the years of 1991 and 2010 this state experienced the most tornadoes per square mile of any state, though most were of the weaker EF-0 and EF-1 variety that often occur as part of another major meteorological event.
In 2013 what suburb of Oklahoma City was hit by a major EF-5 tornado that killed 24, injured hundreds, and caused approximately $2 billion in damage. This same small town was hit again by an EF-2 tornado again in 2015.
In the 1996 film "Twister," what was the thematically relevant name of the high-tech tornado research apparatus that could supposedly take measurements from INSIDE the funnel cloud?
What geometric name is given to a tornado such as the one pictured here that are at least as wide as they are tall?
The "Super Outbreak' of tornadoes that occurred on April 25-27, 2011 produced over 350 tornadoes in 21 states and provinces. What southern University town took a direct hit from a multiple-vortex EF-4 funnel that killed 44 residents of the city including 6 university students?
TORNADO SADETY: True or False: If you are in your car and see a tornado and have time to do so, you should drive DIRECTLY AWAY from the funnel (e.g., if the funnel is moving east towards you, you should drive east as well).
My closest brush with a tornado occurred on May 13, 1980 when an EF-3 storm passed 100 yards from where I was in the basement of my college library. The storm blew itself out in the city's downtown, killing 5 and causing over $50 million in damage. This slightly redacted map shows the path of the storm through what city?
Complete the song title from this 2009 Neko Case album Middle Cyclone. (Two words) "This Tornado ____ ____"
Outside of the USA, what country has the highest frequency of tornadoes in the world, including the (estimated) EF-5 tornado in San Justo on January 10, 1973?
This third installment of the campy Sharknado movies included an orignal song by Camper Van Beethoven and had this 3-WORD subtitle.
If you're a weather geek like me, you'll know that this phrase consisting of two four-letter words is the name for the most common radar "signature" that is frequently indicative of a tornado. An example of this can be seen at the bottom left of the linked image.
