All 12 questions are pretty well related to the German Freistaat Sachsen (Saxony in English). Hopefully I made this one "general enough" to be interesting/fun/challenging for everyone, regardless of whether you're a complete Saxony (or Germany) expert. If I failed, it wasn't for lack of trying. Anyway. Brief plug for a region that I love: Saxony is an amazing, underappreciated, and under-touristed (!) place and is totally worth every minute of your next 10- to 14-day vacation.

One of Germany's most popular long-distance Radwege (bike routes) begins in Saxony at the Czech border, proceeds north through the heart of Dresden, and eventually leads to northern cities Hamburg and Cuxhaven. What river's route does this bike path follow?
From 1953 to 1990, the city of Chemnitz, was named for what philosopher (who, by the way, never lived in Chemnitz)?
A hearty, traditional Saxonian midday meal might consist of Rindroulladen (rolled beef), Kartoffelklöße (potato dumplings), and oddly tangy Rotkohl -- with everything drenched in Soße (gravy) of course. Translate the word Rotkohl into English.
The East German Trabant automobile is now somewhat beloved for its quaint backwardness. One of its most backward features was its high exhaust-emitting engine, which burned oil as well as gasoline. What type of engine -- in the West more commonly associated with dirt bikes and chainsaws -- did the Trabant employ?

A wine bar popular since at least the 15th century, Auerbach's Keller was once a favorite haunt of Leipzig's real-world academic community. It is best known, however, for being the setting of Part I, Scene V (which does, in fact, involve drunk students) of what German stage play written by a Leipzig University alumnus?
Since the fall of communism, the Erzgebirgisch (Ore Mountains) town of Glashütte has reestablished itself as the preeminent German location for the hand-made manufacture of what precision accessories, including those produced by A. Lange & Söhne and NOMOS?
What 1972 movie, starring Michael Sacks in the time-traveling lead role, includes the main character as a prisoner of war held in Dresden during the February 1945 fire-bombing of the city?
The city of Hohenstein-Ernstthal, located only 33 km from the MZ factory in Zschopau, is famous throughout the world for being the home of the Sachsenring. What type of racing is the Sachsenring best known for?
Saxony Switzerland is a popular climbing region that lies along the Czech border. Geologically, the area's peaks and valleys were formed through the erosion of sea sediments deposited millions of years ago and consist of lithified layers of rough grains of quartz, clay, and fine marlstone. Similar to the rock-cut tombs of Petra, Jordan, then, from what type of sedimentary rock are the region's mountains primarily formed?
Often considered alongside English painters J. M. W. Turner and John Constable for his use of light and color and preference for landscape scenery, what 19th century icon of the German romantic and Dresden-based artist is known for his paintings Morning in the Riesengebirge, Man and Woman Contemplating the Moon, Wanderer above the Sea of Fog, and Cross in the Mountains?
Because the German Football Association won't allow corporate identities to be attached to the names of its member clubs, Leipzig's Second Bundesliga team is officially "RasenBallsport Leipzig e.V.". Nevertheless, what company (in effect) owns this, Saxony's highest-positioned soccer team?
