The episode "The Passerby" is set in front of the house of Lavinia Godwin who spends the episode watching shellshocked soldiers wandering down a road. Eventually her dead husband wanders down the road, confirming that Lavinia and all of the soldiers are dead, walking the road to the afterlife. Lavinia refuses to believe this and breaks down in the middle of the road, refusing to follow her husband. Which man, the last to walk down the road, comforts her in her grief and encourages her to join her husband.
