This man, head coach of both CSKA Moscow and the Soviet National Hockey Team, coached teams to gold medals at the 1984, 1988, and 1992 Winter Olympics, but is perhaps more famous in the U.S. for the silver his team won in 1980 when he benched goalie Vladislav Tretiak after one period of a critical game.
