Although it became more associated with a subsequent cover version by an older singer, Liza Minnelli did the original rendition of this theme song from a Martin Scorsese movie. Neither the song nor the movie (they have the same title) were successful on first release--having flopped and coming chronologically right between Taxi Driver and Raging Bull, it's one of Scorsese's least widely seen films.
