Since 1991, pitchers can only get credit for a no-hitter if they throw nine complete innings. Devern Hansack’s five no-hit innings on October 1, 2006 against Baltimore, then, constituted an official game but NOT an official no-hitter. Were it considered as such, it would have been the fifth no-hitter caught by what man, breaking a tie for most no-hitters caught that he shares with Carlos Ruiz?
