Everyone who has ever seen baseball can remember Carlton Fisk waving that 1975 World Series Game 6 home run fair. Fewer people recall that the only reason that Fisk even had his chance was because this man was sent in to pinch hit in the 8th inning. Despite being drunk and high by his own admission, and flailing horribly, this man somehow connected for a game tying three run homer that pushed the game to extra innings where Fisk would become the hero.
