When the Golden Globes got it right (and the Oscars didn't) by Egantx7

Question 14

1973 was one of those years where Hollywood showed it simply wasn't ready for something new. Among others, the Best Picture Oscar went to The Sting and the Best Supporting Actress Award went to Tatum O'Neil for Paper Moon (two films set in "simpler times"). The Globes for Supporting Actress and Best Picture - Drama both went to this film, which had to settle for the Adapted Screenplay Oscar. One might at least give the Oscars a little pass for not giving the Supporting Actress Oscar to this film, wondering if they would have to split the award with Mercedes McCambridge. What was this film?

The Exorcist
