Much to the snickering delight of every 8th grade sense of humor then and since, Elwood knew by the sudden darkness in downtown Chicago (sunglasses aside) he knew he was on THIS SPECIFIC STREET. The purpose of this street was to allow for deliveries without causing major traffic issues and act as an "express route."
