In 2013, Senator Rand Paul had accusations of lifting a speech about DNA and Eugenics from THIS 1997 FILM and used it in his campaign. It didn't matter in the end since it probably took Rachel Maddow 90 minutes to tease about the gaffe and everyone turned the channel before she got to it.
